Geographical Locations
At the northernmost point of the Larnaka district, 20km from the town of Larnaka, the visitor comes across Tochni, a small picturesque village built out of stone, on the slopes of two hills with a small river cutting across them. Its name probably derives from the word Techni (Art) since the village was famous for its great master masons who worked the stone of the area in quite a unique way. The village's physiognomy has remained traditional, as the visitor will discern from the first glance and its beauty grows on you as you walk down its narrow alleys with the stone-built houses, the courtyards and gardens. Of great importance is the church of Ayios Constantine and Ayia Eleni at the centre of the village.
