Drousia, a village north of Pafos, lies at an altitude of 630 metres above sea level.
It is known to afford amazing panoramic views of the pristine beaches of Akamas, Lara and Amoudi, as well as the Akamas forest with its rich, unspoiled vegetation, and the miniature island of Agios Georgios at Peyia.
The villagers' main occupation is breeding sheep and goats, in addition to working the land to produce, grapes, cereals, pulses, olives and almonds.
The village is included in the Laona environmental plan (see Kathikas*).
Like the neighboring Akamas, Drousia and its surroundings are steeped in legend and tradition.
