Achna is one of the large and fertile villages of Kokkinochoria in Famagusta district. It is a village which was divided, in 1974 with the Turkish invasion. A village that despite all the suffering did not bend and managed to stand up and regenerate. It adjoins the villages of Kalopsida, Acheritou, Avgoros, Ormideia, Xylotympou, Pergamos and Makrasika. Walking around the present-day village of Achna, you will encounter churches, chapels and monuments. In addition to the churches and monuments, the village has recreational, activity and exercise areas, which the village created with much love, zeal and effort, in an effort to regenerate and develop, just a few meters away from its old neighborhood. In 1968 the Ethnikos Achna club was founded, while the Ethnikos Achna stadium and the old stadium, which is half occupied, impress every visitor to the village. Just outside the village one will find the Achna Speedway, the Cyprus track that has been operating for a few years in Achna. At this track motorcycle, car and drift races are held. Finally, the Animal Park Achna is also an impressive place to visit. It is a park with a small zoo in which there are various animals of Cyprus overlooking the village fence.
