It is believed that the best way to discover any city, place or country, is to be alongside and/or travel with locals. “A Glass of Cyprus” pursues that need.
As you can tell from our brand name, we focus on the wine of Cyprus. The history of winemaking in Cyprus is one of the oldest in the world. Have you ever tasted Commandaria, the oldest wine in the world that is still producing? Wine tastings in the wineries, tours in the vineyards and meeting up with the winemakers.
Food is an important part of Cypriot culture. Cyprus has a tradition in culinary art with ancient recipes and cooking methods. Tours and activities focus on gastronomy. From a grandma's kitchen to a fine dine restaurant and of course the tradition of meze in a traditional tavern. Let’s not forget the Cypriot barbeque experience, the one we call it “Souvla”.
Participation in activities with locals depending on the season. For example, Flaouna making in a wooden oven during Easter, harvesting grapes for a winery during harvest time, collecting mushrooms during wintertime and of course relaxing on the beach while drinking a nice cocktail in July.
Forget crowded groups, touristic minibuses and coaches. We do private, tailor-made, tours with our own cars from one (1) to twelve (12) travellers.
