Overview

Theodoros Orchard Ltd. was founded In June of 2018 based on the family olive groves which integrated an organic agriculture system. The groves are over 40 years old and began to be created in 1980. The plots also include olive trees of 500 and 200 years old which are scattered around the expanse and were included in the watering system which was implemented during the creation of the entire plan. Under the management of the company, intercropping systems with herbs were included in the plots, alongside wildlife protection methods by placing various watering points around the grounds and maintaining points with wild vegetation for biodiversity, as well as shredding of pruned cuttings instead of burning them, with the shreds mixed with the soil as natural compost. Alongside these projects, and in cooperation with a Non-Profit Organization, nesting structures have been created and placed in the trees for Barn Owls (Tyto Alba), Kestrels (Falco Tinnunculus) and a variety of bat species.  The farms have been included in various research projects that aim to better manage them to improve the quality of olive oil such as Aristoleo and Artolio, as well as the recent addition of a weather monitoring station.

Derivatives such as organic olives, organic olive oil and dried herbs from the plots are packaged and standardized in our own facilities which have been licensed and certified to ensure high product quality.

Since 2017, our olive oils have consistently been awarded for their high polyphenol contents by the World Olive Organization and this year we have received 4 awards from the International Olive Oil Competition in London.

In 2020 we started planning for the ‘Marova’ Organic Green Olive Oil, and for the organic Olive Oil ‘Laxies’, which have been introduced in the market in 2021, and have received awards since their introduction. 

Through research, our herbs were processed, and the first Cypriot Organic Herb iced tea was produced without the use of added sugar. This product is found under the commercial name ‘Teo’ and is currently available in three different flavors.

Our goal is the continuous improvement of our products in quality and nutrients, with parallel emphasis on both production and standardization.
