Overview

The THEME PARK OF MELISSA (BEE) in Achna covers an area of 18.5 decares. It includes a canteen, on the roof of which there is an observatory, mainly for observing the flora and fauna of the Achna Dam. In the exhibition areas there are exhibits relating to the processes of honey production, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, wax and the production of new queens and artificial insemination of queens.

The Park includes various pavilions, specially designed walkways to tour the Park, a pond, various points of interest (e.g. a well), extensive green areas consisting of 750 trees (50 different species) and about 5,000 aromatic and other shrubs.  All the flora species are directly related to the bee. In addition, gardens with various cacti have been created.

The outdoor areas are enriched with an open-air museum of beekeeping exhibits and a playground.  In the open-air museum there are traditional exhibits in operation (jib berries) with the possibility of visual contact with the inside of the jib berries with live image and sound. The playground area has been suitably landscaped and landscaped to create a particularly attractive space for children. At the same time, the adjacent Achna Dam can be used for recreational fishing purposes by securing the appropriate permits.
